- Public Twitter Links: When you paste or share a public Twitter / X link (tweets, videos, reels, etc.), we process it temporarily to fetch and download the video. These links are not stored or shared after the download completes.
- Device Information: We collect basic device details such as model, OS version, and IP address (for functionality and debugging).
- Advertising Data: We use Google AdMob to show non-personalized ads. This involves collecting your Advertising ID (AAID) to serve relevant ads. We do not link this ID to any personal information.
We do NOT collect:
- Twitter login credentials, passwords, or private account data.
- Personal information (name, email, phone, location, contacts, etc.).
- Your browsing history, messages, or following lists.
- Any sensitive data.
2. How We Use Information
- Service Delivery: Public Twitter links are used only to download videos to your device.
- App Improvement: Device information helps us fix bugs and improve performance.
- Advertising: Your Advertising ID is used by Google AdMob to show ads. We do not sell your data.
All processing happens locally on your device where possible. No data is uploaded to our servers.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.
Limited sharing occurs only with:
- Google AdMob: Receives your Advertising ID for ad delivery. See their privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Service Providers: Trusted partners (e.g., for crash reporting) who process data under strict agreements.
We may disclose data only if legally required.
4. Permissions We Request
- Internet: To fetch videos from Twitter servers.
- Storage / Media: To save downloaded videos to your device.
- Query All Packages (Android 11+): To support “Share to TwiDown” from the Twitter app.
We do not request camera, microphone, contacts, location, or any unnecessary permissions.
5. Downloaded Videos
All videos are saved locally on your device in:
Internal Storage → Download
6. Children’s Privacy
TwiDown is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure.
8. Your Rights and Choices
- You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting us.
- You can opt out of personalized ads via device settings.
- Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws, you have rights regarding your data.
